FijiLIFE Foundation will create a AUD$100,000 fund for Investing in Entrepreneurs in Fiji; investee selection, funding, training, and mentoring support for micro-businesses empowering Fijians with pathways out of poverty.
There are many micro-businesses and prospective new businesses in Fiji but they often lack the capital that would allow them to start up or expand.
Relatively small amounts of funding, along with some business training and mentoring, would allow these businesses to flourish, and this would have a considerable impact on the people and economies in these communities.
FijiLIFE Foundation will identify opportunities to provide microcredit facilities to entrepreneurs in several provinces in Fiji. Dr Mike Gosling, an experienced business owner and entrepreneur, will manage the fund and process for investee selection, funding, training and ongoing support.
